Dear Blog Friends

I am still having considerable difficulty with my right leg and am now seeing a chiropractor on a daily basis.
As soon as I'm physically able I'll be taking more pictures again, and giving more comprehensive information in my posts here I promise.
Not being able to walk more than a few yards at a time is a humbling experience but I'm hoping this setback is only temporary.

May 14th---Weeding

This is where I spend much of April, May & June.
Weeding and watching the beauty of the days unfold.
Even this extremely sore leg can't keep me out of here!
I can take 3 or 4 hours of weeding & piddling around (no heavy stuff) before I have to get horizontal with a book, and a TENS unit for pain relief (Thanks Frank!).
I do several laps around the block every day on my bike with no discomfort and, oddly enough, that sort of Indian position I'm sitting in up there seems to stretch and relax the muscles.
More therapy this week it seems...
I need to get past this sciatica thing , there's a lot that needs doing around here.
But those few hours outside, with the living things, still get me excited over what tomorrow will bring, pain or no pain!

Our pine forest soil is on the acid side so Peggy is adding oyster-shell lime to the new pea beds which prefer somewhat alkaline soil. Posted by Hello

Sorry For The Interlude...

I've apparently injured my hip and it seems that I have a pinched nerve which is causing me great discomfort.

At this point I can barely walk more than a few feet so nothing is getting done around here and I have nothing to post.

I'm spending my time reading while trying to figure the best natureopathic/holistic way to deal with this problem.

Any advice along those lines would be highly appreciated.

I'll be seeing a chiropractor this week if I can find one that doesn't require X-Rays because I refuse to support industrial medicine and its toxic invasive methods.

But I hope I will be walking, gardening and blogging again very soon!

Love, Jim
