Peggy's Garden Bowl

Peggy's new bowl nearing completion and, after the picture was taken this evening, she finished stitching the last coils.
Tomorrow she brushes on the beeswax then bakes it into the bowl for sturdiness and luster.
Stay tuned...

She made this particular bowl for collecting greens and veggies from the garden.

PS-That little blue doo-dad by Peggy's left thumb is the cap from a marker or ball-point pen, with the tip cut off, which she used as a feed to keep the pine-needle coil managable and of uniform thickness. Posted by Hello

I love your bowls. It has given me a use for the pine needles around the farm. I have always had a use for the cones in one way or another, but not the needles. Thank you for sharing this craft with us.

Take care and do well,
Alan
