Almost Rhubarb Pie Time!
Rhubarb thrives here and we always have more than we know what to do with so we give it to friends and have supplied two local restaurants for their Rhubarb Pies.
These new shoots peeking out will grow fast now and we should be able to start using it in about three weeks.

Hi Jim & Peggy,
I finally got the comments thing to work!
I am very intrigued by your rhubarb photo! I have never seen rhubarb shoots like that coming through the ground. We are fortunate that our rhubarb does not die down and we can harvest it all year round.
I do love the way you get to see the extremes of nature's wondrous cycle....we miss out on some aspects of that magnificence.
Writing soon...
