Juvenile Bald Eagle
A young Bald Eagle landing in a Jeffrey Pine on the shore of Stanfield Marsh on Tuesday, March 8th, 2005 at 8:17 A.M.
We were watching this bird swoop low across the lake in search of fish shortly before he landed in the tree nearest us.
I pulled out my camera and barely got this shot before the battery went dead & my spare was home in the charger.
This is one of two juvenile Bald Eagles we've seen nearly every day for the past several weeks.
Bald Eagles don't develop the white feathers on their heads until they are about 5 years old.
