A Sunday Morning

The view looking south across Big Bear Lake from the Alpine Pedal Path at 7:45 this morning. We came across four Bald Eagles today, two adults and two juveniles, eating a fish on the north shore of the lake near the Stanfield Cutoff. We watched them for a good half hour, not wanting to disturb them, so I didn't get close enough for any legible photos (I must get a camera with a telephoto lens!). There were also at least 75 White Pelicans at the east end of the marsh, it was such a special morning we extended our walk from the usual 4 miles to about 7 miles.
