St. John's Wort Relative?
This flower is blooming in a gas station planter next to the sidewalk we use to get into town. The plant is a low growing perennial shrub which appears to me to be some sort of commercial hybrid related to St. John's Wort.
The light was just perfect last Friday morning when I saw this beauty just begging to be photographed. I added watercolor brush effects in Photoshop.

Thank you again, but I can't take too much credit for this one, the light was just there for the capture. When you take as many pictures as I do you're bound to get a good one now & then...
;~)
Dear Linda-
Wow! You actually made a comment on my blog, how cool is that?
We each have our own skills and talents Linda, and I'm sure all five of us could've put them to better uses, but we're all still here and we're all still growing towards the people we strive to be.
Look at all you've accomplished along the path to becoming yourself...
I love you too sis!
Robin-
So this flower, or some variety of it, grows wild where you guys are?
How's Roger doing?
It's way past time for me to check in, but between the constant stream of summer visitors, and all of our ongoing projects, the days have been a bit of a blur lately.
I'm in the middle of sanding and refinishing the upstairs floors today, and have to get back to it, but give Roger, and yourself, a great big hug for us...
Much Love,
Jim
It is Saint John's Wort "Aaron's Beard". Very pretty picture.
