The pine planks have been acclimating (note the air spaces between the boards) in the living room for weeks now and today I began laying the boards.
If all goes well I should have the living room floor ready for sanding by day after tomorrow.
Dallas wants his ugly green carpet back.

When you're finished there, I have some chores you could do for me if you're interested.
Dallas is very cute!
Dallas looks like he's actually quite comfy - probably would prefer his carpet, but it's not going to destroy his mission (to live a fine doggie life).
I've really enjoyed my stay here. Had a nice look around [puts on jacket and heads out the door] ... I'm sure I'll stop by again, Jim!
I love projects like the one you are about to start. I can't wait to see the photos of the finished floor. It's going to look so great.
Hope it all goes well.
I'm always jealous of individuals who begin projects and then actually finish them...I started painting our bedroom a couple of years ago -- maybe I'll finish that job soon :)
i think once dallas sees how beautiful a wood floor is, he'll forgive you for the green carpet going bye-bye!
wood adds so much warmth to a room! i can't wait to see the 'after' shot.
how's jimmy doing?
Jim! Come on out and play! All work and no post...
Sorry Mum!
Has it really been 7 days since my last post?
Where did they go?
