Retractable Clothesline

Because of our small property we use a retractable clothesline so it doesn't take up space when not in use.
Once the weather is reliably warm I usually do my laundry on Monday morning, because there never seems to be many interruptions then, and maybe it's a bit of a lapse into the old Monday morning work routine too.

The debate rages! Which way to hang the socks?! Typical male, they're upside down, Jim!!
When my DH hangs socks like this I just can't help myself, I have to go out and re-hang them... by the toes. (Yes, I know...it's very anal!)

Peggy & I have the same thing with T-Shirts. I hang them from the shoulders & she hangs them from the bottom hem! Women!:)
The socks now, I seem to hang them either way, depending on how the first one comes out of the tub.
On the toilet paper roll though, I've given up. I no longer care whether it rolls from the top or bottom!
I'm with Peggy on the T-shirts...and the toilet roll just has to roll from the top!
C'mon! These are critical minutiae, Jim!
