  1. Very nice. I find with our south western setting against the river I am able to catch a lovely sunset over the water almost every evening. I now have over 300 but have not yet become bored or jaded.

So your house has a view of a river? Sounds very nice!

We don't have clouds regularly enough to color sunsets this magnificently every evening.

Still, to my mind, sunsets are like flowers, each one a beautiful miracle in it's own right. I never tire of natural beauty, only of the destruction of it.

The works of humankind have left me jaded and disappointed with my own species, but the rest of nature leaves me in constant awe, giving me the strength, every day, to once again face our out-of-control destructiveness.

Sunsets are magical. My wife and I spent three weeks visiting Tucson several years ago. We lived in a small house across the mountains (to the west) from Tucson. Living in that desert environment was like being on a whole new planet (for someone from Wisconsin!).

What was particularly notable were the brilliant, glorious sunsets every evening. Shades of yellow, orange, red, purple made each one spectacular. We regularly sat out on the patio at sunset watching them (and the lovely, cheerful Gambel's quail). What a beautiful time it was.

  5. This year I have seen more sunsets than ever before - because I am retired, and can spend the time gazing in the late afternoon. Before, when the sun set during the workday, I could only snatch glimpses from across the office.

This one is a beauty Jim.

  6. is there any better way to end a day, than with a beautiful sunset? at my previous rez, i had a 2nd story deck on the west side of the house.... ah, the sunsets! they last a long time this far north. and it was a great place to go of a winter's evening, and enjoy the northern lights too.
