Three views along our sunrise walk this morning as Peggy, Dallas, and I happily trudged a few miles through nearly a foot of snow that fell Sunday night.
We came across two coyotes right after the second picture was taken and Dallas took off after them, having a ball and getting more than his share of the morning workout.
We saw the coyotes again on the way home, a few blocks from our house, after Dallas was back on the leash. One of them sat there just 25 feet away posing for us, but my camera batteries picked that particular moment to go dead. Dang It!
But what a brisk and exhilarating way to start the day!!!

Vickie-

A warm welcome to you way over there in lovely Nova Scotia.

I would imagine there's much nature to love there, and your pictures are beautiful too!

pablo & eric-

That was a fine sunrise walk!
We see coyotes regularly, and hear them howling & singing more nights than not, but it's unusual for one to stand 25 feet away and just watch you walk by.

I could've gotten a very nice picture if only my batteries hadn't gone dead...

I'm glad you like the pictures I did get though!

This is still a very pretty world we live in.

i strolled vicariously with you over my morning cuppa, and watched the sun come up. thanks. really lovely. i could almost have been here in northern alberta.... except, of course, the sun won't be anywhere near us till much later. it's 8:45 now, and the sky is just beginning to turn from black to deep blue in the east.

then i had a nice 'visit' with your chickens, in their spiffy fresh digs. what beautiful chickens!

and, i hope you won't mind... i liked the textures and colors... and the signature rounded edges and finish on the photo of the brick wall with Folgers's coffe painted on it, that i've loaded it on my desktop for the day.

I'm glad you enjoyed the stroll & the visit with the chickens.

And you're more than welcome to use any of my pictures on your computer.

By the way, I updated the link from Earth Home Garden to your new blog address.

Happy New year!
