Western Gray Squirrel

One of the most common sights in our habitat is the Western Gray Squirrels feeding at the suet cage.
We put the suet out for the variety of woodpeckers that live here but the squirrels get the majority of the peanut treat from this feeder.
The birds seem to dominate the feeder at the other end of the yard and we rarely see a squirrel there.

Nice photo! A town near me claims to be the only home of black squirrels in the world.
Cute! I wish we had squirrels in NZ!

love to see that little guy eat
Oh wow! I can never get a squirrel picture like that. Maybe I need some suet. :)
So THAT's what a Western Gray Squirrel looks like. My co-worker was just telling me yesterday that she saw one for the first time this weekend. I really need to find time to visit you...
Yes, you do!
And if you could come sometime in June you'd find Earth Home Garden at the peak of her glory.
Besides, I'd love to see you...
